The Vesak Day Community Festival 2026 is a multicultural community celebration commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha—the most sacred day in the Buddhist calendar.

For over thirteen years, this event has brought together Buddhist monasteries, community organisations, and people from all backgrounds to celebrate the values of compassion, wisdom, gratitude, and harmony. In 2026, we are honoured to host the festival for the first time in Eastwood Plaza, reflecting the vibrant and diverse communities of the City of Ryde.

The festival offers a unique opportunity for the wider public to experience Buddhist culture and teachings through:

• Traditional Buddha Bathing ceremonies

• Chanting and blessings from multiple Buddhist traditions

• Multicultural performances

• Meditation and Dharma reflections

• Vegetarian food and community stalls
